The South Orange & Maplewood School District’s Department of Curriculum & Instruction continues to expand online access to its K–12 curriculum through Rubicon Atlas — a digital, public-facing platform that allows families and the community to explore what students are learning across all grade levels and subject areas.
The platform reflects the District’s ongoing effort to make curriculum planning more transparent, cohesive, and aligned with state standards. Rubicon Atlas provides educators and families with a unified, mobile-ready system that maps courses, standards, and instructional sequences all in one place.
Remarks from previous instructional administrators noted that “the process of transferring our curriculum to an online platform allowed us to identify both gaps and overlaps in instruction, ensuring a more cohesive and consistent experience for students across grade levels.”
Another former district leader shared that “Rubicon Atlas offers a user-friendly, transparent solution that helps families anticipate what students will learn next, while giving educators streamlined access to instructional resources and pacing guides.”
Today, the District continues to build on that work by refining and updating curriculum through Rubicon Atlas to strengthen alignment, transparency, and collaboration across schools.
