Substance Abuse

Our school community is committed to prevention, early identification, and compassionate help — including counseling services, connections to community treatment providers, education for students and families, and trusted adults who are ready to listen without judgment. No student has to handle this alone, and reaching out early can lead to healthier choices and stronger futures.

Why reach out?

Substance use can have a powerful impact on teens because their brains and bodies are still developing. Alcohol, vaping, marijuana, and other drugs can affect memory, decision-making, mood, and mental health, and may increase the risk of anxiety, depression, and difficulty in school or relationships. What can start as experimentation or a way to cope with stress can quickly become a pattern that is hard to stop. The good news is that support makes a difference.

Please contact your child’s administrator, school counselor or our Student Assistance Counselor for more support.
