In-District Transfers

Grades K - 8:

Families interested in an inter-district(another school within the district) transfer may request a review of their student's placement.  Per Policy #5124, parents/guardians may submit a request to transfer their child from their designated school to a different school.  No more than one transfer request will be considered per year.  All transfer requests will be considered in alignment with Policy #5124.

The following will apply and be strictly enforced:

  1. All transfer requests must be submitted through the PowerSchool Parent Portal (Click Here For Instructions) (Hardship Rubric)
  2. Decisions will be based upon the guidelines outlined in Policy #5124
  3. Parents/guardians will be notified of placement decisions
  4. After receiving notification of a decision, parents/guardians may choose to appeal the decision to the Superintendent of Schools.

Pre-Kindergarten:

Preschool transfers are handled by the Director of Early Childhood Education.

  • Please note that the processing of transfer requests for the 2026-27 school year will begin in mid May.
