About Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessments
Assessing student academic performance is one measure of determining what has been learned and how well the curriculum is serving the needs of each child. Students in all grades are assessed using multiple measures such as teacher tests, informed reading tests and other performance-based measures. Students will be given every opportunity to demonstrate competency and be successful in all areas.
Join us in the CHS library on Wednesday, April 9 at 6:30 PM for an in-depth look at our English Language Arts program, spanning Upper Elementary to Middle School, with a primary focus on Upper Elementary. Dr. Jane Bean-Folkes will discuss instructional approaches, overall expectations for successful literacy development, and practical ways to support learning at home.
