The South Orange & Maplewood School District provides families with access to the district’s PowerSchool Parent Portal, which is connected to the student information system (SIS) used by each school building. Access to the parent portal lets you view important information about your child. Parents and caretakers can:

  • View daily attendance records. 
  • View marking period grades.
  • View printable report cards and progress reports.
  • View school welcome letters (elementary schools). 
  • View schedules (secondary schools).
  • View student Google account information (new students).
  • View locker information (High School)
  • Make changes to contact information. 
  • Review and acknowledge forms and documents.

Urgent Reminder

We ask all parents and guardians to complete the required annual forms in the PowerSchool Parent Portal. These forms provide essential information that helps us keep every student safe, supported, and ready to learn. Emergency contacts, medical details, media permissions, walking authorizations, technology use agreements, and device acknowledgments all play a vital role in how we care for students each day. Completing these forms for each child ensures our staff has accurate, up-to-date information, allowing us to respond quickly, communicate effectively, and maintain a smooth progression through the school year.

An Important Note Regarding Smartphone Access

We strongly recommended that you access the district parent portal by using a web browser on your computer or mobile device. Many features, such as reviewing forms and documents, are only accessible using a computer or a mobile phone web browser. The iOS and Android parent portal apps are limited to viewing grades and attendance information.
